Inventory Capture: Privacy Policy

Inventory Capture ("the app"), together with its website at inventorycapture.com, is provided by Devion Creative Enterprises, LLC ("we"). It helps you photograph part labels and keep track of your inventory. This policy explains what the app collects and how it is used.
What the app collects
- Account details. Your name, email address, username and password, used to create your account and sign you in. Your password is sent only to our servers to authenticate you.
- Photos you take. Photos of part labels, parts and boxes that you choose to take with the camera or pick from your device. They are uploaded to your Inventory Capture account. Label photos are read by a text-recognition service (Google Cloud Vision) that our cloud provider runs on our behalf, and the text is returned to your account.
- Inventory records you enter. Projects, locations, part numbers, quantities and other details you save. "Location" here means a storage location name you type, not your device's location: the app does not use GPS or location services.
- Barcodes. Barcodes are read on your device. Only the decoded value you save is uploaded.
How we use it
Only to provide the app and the website to you: signing you in, storing and showing your inventory, reading label text, and support. We don't use your data for advertising and we don't sell it.
What we don't do
- No ads, and no tracking across apps or websites.
- No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and no use of the advertising ID.
- We don't sell your personal data, and we share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf, such as our cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services) and text-recognition (Google Cloud) providers.
Permissions
The camera is used to take label and part photos. Photo access is used only when you choose a photo to upload. The app does not record audio and does not use your location.
Security
Data sent between the app, the website and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
Retention and deletion
Your account, photos and inventory records are kept while your account is active. To delete your account and its data, email support@componentcrm.com from the email address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm by email and complete the request within 30 days. Backups are overwritten within 90 days. See Delete your data.
Children
The app is a business tool for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We'll post any changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
